Adventures with Daddy

Just got back from my rescheduled massage. I feel fantastic!

Prior to leaving the house Kenny called to remind me to leave early so that I would not miss one minute of my long awaited treat! I got the boys ready, and as I was grabbing shirts and shorts, Rhys suddenly turns into a fashionista proclaiming "Transformers shirt", I tell him "sorry that shirt is in the wash bin". He then spots one of his blue Superman shirts. "Superman". We then put it on, and he grabs another shirt thinking it's the matching bottom. I say "no, this is a shirt" and think that's the end of it since he already had a pair of shorts on. No. A minute later he steps into the room, all smiles and points out to me "see Superman pants!" He managed to find the bottoms and put them on himself, albeit inside out. Note the white tag hanging from the back of the waistband.

On the way to meeting Kenny we passed a 99cent store. There were banners and balloons everywhere proclaiming their 25th Anniversary. A metal fence stood to the side in front of the store and behind it were two to three dozen people camping out with sleeping bags. Looks like they must be having some kind of crazy promotion in celebration of their big anniversary. Must be something good! It's always amusing to see this kind of thing on tv, and when you see it in person it's even more astounding. Who are these people? How are they able to take mass amounts of time out of their daily lives to sit in front of a store? I wanted to take a picture but found the prospect a bit dim since I was also driving. Then I figured if you've seen a bunch of people lined up in front of a store like that before you don't really need another visual.

We arrived at Kenny's work in plenty of time, and I was able to get a really great parking space! Once he came down we parted ways. Me to my scheduled massage and the boys to an impromptu adventure!

After a glorious massage where I was left feeling a little too relaxed, I almost fell asleep several times through it, I met with the doctor, a chiropractic doctor (a requirement through insurance). Well we chit chatted a bit and he gave me an adjustment! I've always been a bit squeamish about people cracking my bones but I have to admit that I was fairly impressed. He also diagnosed my left leg as being slightly longer than my right (a fact that I had somehow suspected) and adjusted that too! I will have to see how I feel tomorrow. In the meantime I am already plotting my next visit. (Kenny's getting his tomorrow!)

PS I want to announce that my high school friend Ariane has started her very own blog and it looks great! It's so exciting to be able to keep in touch this way. You can find Ariane's blog at ccandeosmom.blogspot.com
