Birthdays and Mothers Day Tea

It's beginning to feel a lot like summer, the weather is heating up and it's been very windy lately. I've been bitten by the garden bug! The beds in the backyard are looking a lot tidier, the patio is looking a lot greener, and I've got an incredible backache to prove it.

Although I finished printing up Jen's gift certificates, I never made it to Kellys. I'll swing by somewhere to pick up envelopes tomorrow and then drop them off on Tuesday.

Yesterday we spent the afternoon at the Putting Edge for the twin's Pokemon themed birthday party. Henry had a blast hanging out with his school buddies, especially Tommy one half of the birthday duo, and his best friend.

Kenny is a little under the weather, so I volunteered for Rhys duty. Rhys loved running around the place. He kept circling it again and again like a boot camp obstacle course. I was exhausted after about an hour. Luckily the food was really good. There was pizza, a selection of sandwiches, and two cakes! One for each twin. We had a lovely time and the boys were pretty worn out afterwards.

Today the boys and I went down to mom's for a pre Mothers Day tea party, that Auntie May planned. It was a good excuse for Eva, Ethan and the boys to have a play date. All in all they play pretty well together; Ethan and Henry get a long a lot better, but Rhys wasn't that bad today either, even though I had to put him in the car seat once, and he did tell Aunt May as well as Grandma "Quiet!" a few times. Aunt May outdid herself with the spread! Especially the chicken curry sandwiches. YUM!
